Northern Islands - Ilot Gabriel, Ile Plate and Coin de Mire
The 3 Northern islands are Coin de Mire (Gunner’s Quoin), Ile Plate (Flat island) and Ilot Gabriel (Gabriel island). There are 3 options available with stops at one, two or three islets. In all 3 options, you will still see the three islets as they are located not far off each other.
Option 1 (Ile Plate, Ilot Gabriel and Coin de Mire (3 stops))
Meeting point: Ebrahim Tours office, Grand Baie (North)
Timings: 07:45 – 16:00
Description: After a light breakfast on board, the catamaran will start sailing towards the Northern islands. After one hour of cruising, you will discover Flat and Gabriel islands; Mauritius’ very own island getaways with pristine white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, a rich birdlife, spectacular coastal scenery, and a casual atmosphere. You will spend the morning on Flat island and afternoon on Gabriel island. In between, a delicious freshly prepared barbecue lunch (grilled fish and chicken, pasta, bread, and salads) and drinks will be served on the catamaran. On the return journey, we will also stop at Coin de Mire; one of the best sites for swimming and snorkeling. Back at Grand Baie at around 16:00.
Pick up/ drop off: Hotel transfers to and from the meeting point are not included, but can be organised with an extra charge
Option 2 (Ile Plate and Ilot Gabriel (2 stops))
Meeting point: Ebrahim Tours office, Grand Baie (North) or Pointe aux Piments (North).
Timings: 07:30 – 16:30
Description: After a short minibus ride towards Pointe aux Piments, you will board the catamaran which will start sailing towards the Northern islands. After one hour and 15 minutes of cruising, you will discover Flat and Gabriel islands. You will spend the morning on Flat island and afternoon on Gabriel island. In between, a delicious freshly prepared barbecue lunch (grilled fish and chicken, pasta, bread, and salads) and drinks will be served on the catamaran. On the return journey, we will pass at Coin de Mire; but there will be no stop. Back at Pointe aux Piments at around 16:00 and Grand Baie by 16:30.
Pick up/ drop off: We provide complementary shared minibus transfers from Grand Baie and hotels located between Grand Baie and Pointe aux Piments. Transfers from other hotels to and from the meeting point are not included, but can be organised with an extra charge.
Option 3 (Ilot Gabriel (1 stop))
Meeting point: Ebrahim Tours office, Grand Baie (North).
Timings: 08:30 – 16:00
Description: The catamaran will start sailing towards Gabriel island at 09:00, passing by Coin de Mire and Flat island. You will have ample time to explore this beautiful islet; you will be free to enjoy the pristine white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters or explore the islet. At noon, a delicious freshly prepared barbecue lunch (grilled fish and chicken, pasta, bread, and salads) and drinks will be served on the catamaran. After lunch, there will be more time to relax on Gabriel island or continue the exploration. At around 14:30, we will depart from Gabriel island. On the return journey, we will pass by Coin de Mire, but there will be no stop. Back at Grand Baie at around 16:00.
