Ile aux Cerfs is the most iconic tourist destination on the East of Mauritius. Yes, this is the island you have been seeing everywhere! It is a picturesque island known for its idyllic beaches surrounded by turquoise waters. It is also home to one of the most beautiful golf courses in the world, the Ile aux Cerfs Gold Club, an 18-hole championship golf course designed by two-time Masters champion Bernhard Langer. Option 1 (Speed Boat Trip)
Meeting point: Trou D’eau Douce (East)
Timings: 9:00 – 16:00
Description: Meet us at 9:00 and board our speed boat for a 20-30 minutes boat ride to Ile aux Cerfs. You will discover mangroves on the way. Once on Ile aux Cerfs, you will be free to enjoy the beach, go for a swim or explore the island. There will also be a visit to the Grand River South East waterfalls by boat before coming back to the island for a barbecue lunch (grilled fish and chicken, bread, salads and drinks) on the island. The day will end at around 16:00 at Trou d’Eau Douce.
Pick up/ drop off: We provide complementary shared minibus transfers from Grand Baie and hotels located en route from Grand Baie to Trou d’Eau Douce. Transfers from other hotels to and from the meeting point are not included, but can be organised with an extra charge.
Option 2 (Catamaran Trip)
Meeting point: Trou D’eau Douce (East)
Timings: 9:30 – 16:00
Description: Meeting at Trou D’eau Douce on the East Coast for the embarkation at 09:30. The catamaran will sail along the East coast. There will be a stop for swimming and snorkeling in the lagoon and you will also visit the Grand River South East waterfalls in a smaller motor boat – you will discover the mangroves and may also see a few monkeys on the way. At lunch time, a freshly prepared BBQ lunch; grilled fish, chicken, rice salads, green salads, bread and drinks will be served on board. After lunch, we will head to Ile aux Cerfs for some time on the beach and to discover the island freely. The trip will end at around 16:00 at Trou d’Eau Douce.
